Tom Mooney and Torre campaign on behalf of ballot question 200 on Tuesday in front of Hotel Jerome. The future of the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport, particularly the width of its runway, prompted an expensive and divisive election for Pitkin County voters. They decidedly handed victory to the county’s authority to preside over airport decisions, with 3,468 votes in favor of ballot question 1C as of 9 p.m. The competing ballot measure, 200, did not fare well at the polls.
